Polymarket US begins testing parlay contracts

The prediction market platform has started beta testing multi-outcome contracts.

U.S.- Polymarket has begun testing new parlay contracts in the US, expanding its product offering amid the ongoing regulatory scrutiny of prediction markets. The beta testing follows Polymarket US’s self-certification of the product with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in May.

The launch places Polymarket alongside other prediction market operators developing multi-outcome parlay products, formally known as Combinatorial Athletic Outcome Contracts (CAOCs). Its offshore blockchain-based platform already introduced parlays in June during the FIFA World Cup.

Polymarket US recorded its first parlay trade on August 5. Since then, the test environment has registered approximately $ 7.4m in volume across 16,173 trades, with most of the activity taking place in recent days. For now, it remains restricted to beta testing.

According to Polymarket US API documentation, beta users can currently combine up to 10 legs in a single parlay. The platform uses a request-for-quote system to determine prices, where traders submit a request for market makers to price a specific combination of outcomes, after which participating market makers have a defined period to respond.

Users can then select the best available offer. The system allows multiple outcomes to be priced together, while the standard interface generally gives casual users access to the “yes” side of a parlay.
